I've seen it everywhere, you've seen it EVERYWHERE. So naturally, now I want to talk about it. I first saw it mentioned in a Garage ad which I thought was cute marketing but now that this colour has BLOWN UP, I'm realizing it was actually brilliant marketing. The colour trend of the summer is Butter Yellow and It's been E V E R Y W H E R E.
I didn't want to fall victim to the trend because yellow isn't my colour but I was soooo wrong. I just needed to wear the right shade of yellow. Butter yellow is soft, warm, light and a alternative to beige/neutrals. it's giving brightness and optimism. I never wear yellow because I always felt like it was too harsh and stand-outish but now with this colour officially on the streets...I'm obsessed.
To all my blondies that just went darker or back to natural this is the time for you. Butter yellow is giving brightness without going platinum. If you've been missing that bright blonde look but don't want to commit to more bleach then try this colour out in your wardrobe for the summer and let that buttery glow take over.
Since Toronto is a seasonal city with commitment issues, you get the chance to go darker when it's winter and bright + light when it's hot like right now. We love a matching set so why not match your clothes to your hair. Butter yellow blonde is creamy, light and that perfect look for soft elegance. To maintain the buttery blonde you're going to need SPF (duh) in the form of SU Milk so it keeps it healthy and shiny. The Davines DEDE and NOUNOU shampoo and conditioner is your summer yellow duo. The DEDE is delicate for daily use and the NOUNOU is perfect for processed hair that needs that little extra TLC.
The trend of the summer for your closet, hair and life. We're officially butter yellow obsessed, you never know until you try ;)
