SUNDAY STORIES: Trending Haircuts for 2025

Need some haircut inspo for this year? We have a great round up of cuts with style tips that we think you will loooove! xoxo

1. Italian Bob

Starting off strong for all our shortie lovers. This classic bob ends right above the shoulders and it's perfect if you have dense hair and want something lighter. With soft layers it's giving you volume and movement with every head turn. It's an effortlessly put together haircut that is bouncy and chic. If you have finer hair we suggest leaning towards more blunt ends for volume. Perfect for when we head into those hot summer months!

Style tips: Thermal brushes will be your best friend here! We recommend the Blowout Babe, it's super user friendly and available at Palm Sunday! Alternatively you can use rollers, round brushes, hairdryers, basically anything that enhances volume is what we want. The classic vintage looks are back so bouncy bobs, romantic blowouts and it give luxe that's classic. Focus on getting volume at your roots and soft swoops for the ends. Finish off with the Shimmering Mist from Davines to add that last bit of glitz.

2. Lived in Layers

You can never go wrong with this classic. The most low maintenance cut on our list. It’s that cut that you LIKE when you come home from the salon but you give it 3-4 weeks, now it’s grown a bit and everything suddenly sits perfectly, that length you missed is back and now you LOVE it! That’s this cut but just skip the 3-4 weeks waiting time.

Style tips: Like classic layers we love movement with this cut so just bumping your ends with any hot tool is a simple way to add that in without sitting with your curling iron or air wrap for an hour. It works straight, curly, wavy or up so play around with it. If you're going to be using heat while styling then we definitely recommend investing in a heat protection. It makes a huge difference when styling and helps to maintain your healthy new haircut. The Kevin Murphy HEATED.DEFENSE is a weightless leave-in treatment foam that you can use when your hair is damp and it protects your hair against damage associated with heated tools. Add some sprays of the Dry Texturizer from Davines

3. Birkin Bangs

Vintage inspired is clearly the vibe this year because this blunt cut bang is back baby. It’s softer than your normal fringe because less hair is in the bang, the length can vary but usually around the eyebrow is the sweet spot. Inspired by the icon herself, Jane Birkin, this 60s style bang is back for its revival. Just like the Birkin Bag this bang is as classic and timeless but there’s no 10 year waitlist to make it happen.

Style tips: This fringe is a simple style, a round brush like the Evo Ceramic Brushes, would be perfect for rolling blowing out your bangs, with the ceramic heating up as you blow dry it'll ensure that your bangs stay bouncy all day. To achieve the look we are aiming for soft and straight instead of volume this time. So blow dry slightly away from your face and SLIGHTLY down (we want sleek but not totally flat). If you’re feeling more of a bouncy bang then blow dry up and use a roller to hold it in place for a few minutes to ensure that volume stays all day. Finish off with some Oi Oil for any fly aways and you're all set.

4. Fairy Cut

She was a fairy... This very ethereal layered filled cut is magical. It's a mid-length cut with lots of the layers especially around the face and a face framing fringe. Super enchanting and with this version it more day-to-day and the pieces falling around your face give that fantastical spell.

Style tips: This cut looks gorgeous in an updo especially with all the layers you have to work with. You can also use a mousse to add some volume and texture to the top when you blowdrying to add that boost at your roots, softly curling the ends towards your face will really make those layers shine and give you movement. To add movement to the hair we recommend using a mousse to help give that volume at the root and also hold all the styling better. The Oi Soufflè from Davines is one of our current faves, if you love the Oi All In One Milk then this is your new best friend for styling. It gives that extra shine and gives the hair this soft touch of bouncy movement after blowdrying.
