Our hair often reflects our overall health. With 25 years of experience, I've observed that underlying health concerns often manifest at the root.
Our hair often reflects our overall health. With 25 years of experience, I've observed that underlying health concerns often manifest at the root.
To address this, Palm Sunday introduced the P.S.A. service this year. The Palm Scalp Analysis. This analysis uses an AI-powered microscopic camera to examine your scalp and follicles, providing a detailed diagnosis and personalized solutions.
Changes in your skin, hair, and nails can indicate health issues as they are part of your integumentary system. Stress, for example, can cause hair loss conditions like telogen effluvium, alopecia areata, or trichotillomania, and may even hinder new hair growth. We've found that optimizing hair and scalp health requires time and consistency.
Since March, I've committed to my P.S.A. recommended routine and I have finally started to see the results now in August. My routine has me washing my hair 4 to 5 times a week, which I have to admit was very difficult for me in the beginning, as I was a once a week girly who is a business owner and a mom. As you can imagine my 'me time' is limited. Having my hair as thick as it can be is important to me, so I am doing the work and seeing results.
My PSA routine is the following. I use Davines Rebalancing Shampoo, then follow that up with Nourishing Hair Building Keratin Pak which is a hydrating mask for the hair and scalp, followed by Renewing Conditioner which is for healthy aging. These are all part of the NaturalTech series from Davines which are designed to be the most prescriptive hair care, targeting specific hair and scalp concerns.
Unlike other conditioning routines, these are required to sit on the scalp to treat the area. I finish with a probiotic scalp spray Elevating Mist , and my evening routine would not be the same without my Lady Rogaine (iykyk). I use the elevating mist every morning and after washing. I use the Rogaine in targeted areas every night when I brush my teeth. I've also taken an internal approach, drinking more water and eating more greens. We often think we can't reverse thinning hair, or scalp conditions but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Navigating hair and scalp issues can be overwhelming due to the abundance of products and promises online. That's why trusting your stylist's recommendations is crucial. When sudden changes occur, it often signals a need for investigation. The PSA service provides detailed reports and guidance for your next steps toward healthy hair and scalp.
Great hair starts at the root, and this service can help you establish your ultimate hair health routine. Here are some pictures of my journey so far.
